Merino is a great investment for your family and while we try our hardest to keep our garments safe, these cedarwood balls are an extra helping hand to ensure your loved garments and items are fresh and intact for new family arrivals, turns of the season and heirloom gifting.

Pantry and wardrobe moths are pesky. Finding a natural alternative to pesticidesfor these two important areas is not (naphthalene based moth balls were banned in NZ in 2014). The use of red cedar in wardrobes is an old housewife cleaning trick, widely utilised today in convenient wooden balls.

Red Cedarwood works as the ideal natural pest repellent due to the oils in the wood which release a refreshing fragrance to keep those hungry moths at bay.

How to Use

The balls can be spread out in the closet, drawer, or storage – however be sure not to put them directly on your clothes as the natural oils could stain. Alternatively the balls can be kept in the handy drawstring bag or separated into mesh bags (such as a laundry bag) – Simply place the bag where you wish to deter moths.

When the fragrance begins to dull, (approx. six months) lightly sand the balls to rejuvenate their repellent effectiveness.

Warning – Red Cedarwood is a 100% natural non-toxic product, however due to the relatively small size of the individual balls (3.5cm diameter) please ensure they are kept safely out of reach of your little ones.

Shipping starts from $5 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.

We ship with Courier Post & Fastway. Packages are sent Non-Signature Required unless over $350 value or you request Signature Required for security concerns. If you are rural, we don’t charge extra but please do include a note on your order so we can ticket your package correctly. Please allow additional days for rural or you are ordering during holiday periods or major promotions.
